Welcome to SavemeUP – your smart assistant for saving, organizing, and making sense of content from social media. We at SavemeUP understand how important your personal data is, and we’re committed to protecting your privacy every step of the way.
This Privacy Policy explains how the SavemeUP mobile application (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) collects, uses, and safeguards the information you provide when using it.

1. What Data We Collect
The App collects the following personal data when you register and use it:
- Account Information: Email address, device ID, and user age for age verification purposes. The App verifies age based solely on user-provided information during registration. We do not request identity documents.
- Saved Content: Links you save, along with extracted metadata (titles, descriptions, and preview images), and AI-generated tags or categories.
- To display link previews, the App uses the LinkPreview service, which extracts publicly available metadata (title, description, image) from the URL. No personal data is transmitted to LinkPreview.
- Usage Data: Information about your activity within the App (e.g., saved items, categories), device type, operating system, app version, time zone, and language.
- Subscription & Payment Data: Subscription status and transaction details. Payment information is processed securely via third-party providers; we do not store full payment details.
- Social Login Data: Basic information (e.g., email, name, user ID) from Google if you choose to sign in through them.
- The App may also collect technical identifiers necessary for delivering push notifications (via OneSignal). These identifiers do not contain personal information and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.
- We do not collect data from children and do not use cookies.
2. Use of Social Media Icons and Content Sources
Our App allows users to save and categorize content from supported social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Telegram, and Pinterest, Twitter, Netflix, Spotify, and Deezer. The social media icons displayed in the App are owned by their respective platforms and are used solely to indicate the source of content or provide a direct link to the original source. These icons are used in accordance with each platform’s brand guidelines and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with our App. We do not collect personal data directly from these social networks; only the content explicitly saved by users is processed and stored in the App.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the App, including saving, organizing, and analyzing your links using AI.
- Create and manage your account, including registration, login and age verification.
- Process subscriptions and payments through secure third-party providers.
- Ensure the security and proper functioning of the App, including preventing abuse and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Provide customer support and send important updates or support-related messages.
- We use your email address only for essential service-related communications, such as account verification, password recovery, or subscription updates. These messages are sent securely through Mailgun.
- Maintain platform security and functionality.
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes or share it with third parties for marketing.
4. Third-Party Integrations
To provide core functionality of the App, we rely on trusted third-party services. These providers may process limited personal data strictly for operational purposes and always under appropriate data protection safeguards:
- Google Sign-In – for secure authentication and simplified registration.
- Stripe – for secure payment processing and subscription billing management.
- Firebase (Crashlytics only) – for error tracking and improving app stability. No analytics or marketing data is collected.
- RevenueCat – for subscription lifecycle management across platforms (activation, renewal, cancellation).
- Zyte – for automated metadata extraction and link processing to enhance the accuracy and completeness of saved content details. No personal user data is transmitted.
- PostgreSQL and Redis – for secure data storage and app functionality.
- DigitalOcean – as our cloud infrastructure provider, hosting backend systems and databases in the European Union (EU).
- OneSignal – for sending push notifications to users who have granted permission.
- Cloudflare – for SSL encryption, performance optimization, and protection against security threats.
- Mailgun – for transactional and service-related email delivery.
- Meilisearch – as a search engine to enable fast and accurate content search within the App.
- LinkPreview – for generating metadata such as link titles, descriptions, and thumbnails when saving URLs.
- OpenAI API – for AI-based content analysis and categorization. Only content data (e.g., link text or preview) is processed; personal user information is not shared.
- All third-party providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may use it only for purposes that support the App’s functionality. We do not allow these services to access or use your personal information for unrelated or marketing purposes.
5. AI Processing
Certain App features use artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze or categorize the content you save. These processes are powered by the OpenAI API. Only the necessary content data (such as text or links) are processed for this purpose — no personal information (like name, email, or payment data) is shared with OpenAI.
6. User Rights
As a user of the App, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: You may request information about what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Right to correct: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to delete: You can delete your account directly within the App. Deleted accounts can be restored for a limited time. If you wish to permanently delete all data, contact our support team.
- Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw consent at any time for any processing based on consent.
- Right to restrict processing: You may request that we temporarily stop processing your data in certain cases.
- Right to portability: Upon request, we can provide a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Right to object: You have the right to object to certain uses of your data.

- Please note that we do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under the age of 16. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We will respond to all requests within 30 days, or as required by applicable law.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our App is intended for users aged 16 and older, but 18+ content is available only to users aged 18 and above and only with an active subscription. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the applicable age of digital consent (usually 13–16, depending on laws). If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child under the applicable age without verification of parental consent, we will delete such data promptly.

8. Age-Restricted Content (18+)
Some features of the App may include or allow saving or viewing content intended for adults (18+). Access to such content is strictly limited to users who: confirm they are 18 years of age or older, and have an active paid subscription. We do not knowingly process adult content data for any users under the age of 18. If we learn that a user under 18 has attempted to access such content or provided false age information, we may restrict or terminate their access. The App does not create 18+ content — it only processes links explicitly saved by the user.9. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected with SSL encryption. Your information is stored securely in PostgreSQL and Redis databases hosted on DigitalOcean servers in Germany, with regular automated backups. Access to data is limited to authorized personnel only. - GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) – for users in the European Union and EEA countries.
- Other applicable data protection and privacy laws – depending on your location.
- When processing age information and access to adult content, our legal bases may include: Compliance with legal obligations related to age restrictions; Legitimate interest in ensuring the App is not used by minors to access adult content; User consent when enabling access to adult categories.
11. Data Storage and Transfer
All personal data collected through the App is stored securely on servers hosted by DigitalOcean in Germany (European Union). We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). All processing and storage are carried out in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If in the future data needs to be transferred outside the EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

We do not use cookies or analytics tools to track user behavior.
